The Lady Argos took second place in the Pac West and finished the season with a strong confrence record of 13-5 after beating Chaminade 82-60 on Senior Night.

The game was close through most of the first half with the Chaminade shooting over 50 percent in a close 36-35 game. But then the Argos took over. The team forced an unheard of, 23 turnovers in the second half while shooting nearly 50 percent. The lady Argos looked determined to win their final home game, almost doubling the output of Chaminade in the second half 47-24.

"We kept it really interesting in the first half," said senior Ashley Cavalieri. "But we came out in the second half and put them away."

Senior Cory Riley led the team on Senior Night, pouring in 22 points. Riley added four three-pointers and six steals.  Britni Rathke added a career high 21 points, nine rebounds, four blocks and three steals while Tanaia Keyes recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The game was much more than just the final game of the year, but also the final game of the seniors collegiate careers.

"I had a lot of fun during the game," said Riley. "At halftime, I wanted the time to slow down because there was only 20 minutes left! It was really sad when it ended but it was definitely a game that I will never forget!"

The Argos strong season has brought notice to individual recognition. Three lady Argos won Pac West Conference Awards. Tanaia Keyes became the first NDNU player to earn First Team All-Pac West honors while Riley and Jennifer Dreessen received Second Team recognition. "I thought we had a great season although it would have been nice to take the conference, not just second. But overall, we proved ourselves," said Riley.

Losing some of its key players the team hopes it can still be competitive next year.

"It depends on the recruiting. There are key players returning, and if people keep working hard, we could be good," said Cavalieri.

"All the things the girls and our coaches did for us were very overwhelming and we appreciated it all! It was a fun night," said Riley.
