For all those fanatic gamers who counted down to Sept. 25, 12:01 a.m., your time is now to savor playing Halo 3. After waiting in line for about one hour, my friend received the Halo 3 Legendary package, which includes two expansion discs, a poster of the Master-Chief, and an exclusive life-size helmet modeled after the Master-Chief with a protective cover.
Upon playing this game, I noticed that the graphics were just plain amazing. The environment is so life-like, but at the same time, looks as if you are in a sci-fi movie.
The epic theme of the movie allows you to battle in a number of environments, from mountainous regions to ice-fields.
I also noticed that the interaction among the soldiers and Covenant "Grunts" were very real and sometimes humorous.
The Master-Chief has huge jumps and is very quick on his feet. The fighting scenes are intense, with the same duel-wielding weapons, screeching screams, devastating melee attacks. Even though the number of grenades you can hold have been limited, they pack one hell of a punch and definitely can come in handy when battling some "Brutes."
You can pack heat with so many varieties of new weapons along with the classics, such as the assault rifle, the handy rocket-launcher, shotgun, Spartan Laser, the .50 Caliber gunner where you can shoot off the Pelican, and you can also rip the gun off the stationary gun torrent and raise some hell walking with that.
There is also a great variety of Covenant weapons you can use such as the Covenant Carbine, Needler and Charger, along with new weapons: the devastating Gravity Hammer, and the Brute Spiker.
Vehicles include the classic Warthog, Mongoose, Troop Transport that carries four, the Scorpion Tank, Hornet, and Pelican. Covenant vehicles include: The Ghost, Banshee, Wrath and the Brute Chopper.
Undoubtedly many, if not all hardcore players bought Halo 3 to play mutli-player. It is now a 16-man online multiplayer.
There is a feature in Halo 3 that has been used in Halo 2 called Skull Collecting. Skulls add various layers of difficulty in the game (such as the number of grenades Grunts throw more grenades, but will drop more if you get more kills).
