NDNU alum Katie Garibaldi will launch her new music at a CD release party on Oct. 12 at the Little Fox Theatre in Redwood City.

Garibaldi, who graduated this past year, will be launching her fifth full-length release, titled "Fallen Angel." She will share the stage with two other female musicians, Flying Venus and Groovy Judy, who are also releasing albums.

The triple CD release party will begin at 8 p.m, with doors opening at 7:30. Tickets are $12 in advance or $14 at the door. Everyone, 21 and over, is invited.

Phil Johnson from "Roadside Attraction" will be on hand to host the event as well as help raffle off great prizes such as music gear, a trip to Las Vegas, and other items donated by companies such as B Street Music, Planet Granite Fitness, and Guitar Player Magazine.

Proceeds will benefit the local non-profit organization Guitars not Guns, a group which works to keep violence out of schools and off streets, through the introduction of music into the lives of children and teens.

Since graduating from NDNU, Garibaldi has worked on her music as well as at Guitar Player Magazine.

I went to the show after seeing it advertised and it was great! Good work and thanks for the info! Katie and her band rocked! They were the best act there!
