Throughout his time at NDNU, Moon has helped students, faculty and staff connect with local businesses through classes, one-on-one meetings and other events. He has also helped students find employment with the resources available to them.
As said on the NDNU website, the ultimate goal of the career center is, "to provide our students with a process for discovering possibilities and making informed career decisions that they can use successfully throughout their lives."
Moon has achieved this by counseling students and guiding them towards finding their career path.
Moon first came to NDNU when he saw an advertisement in the newspaper. He said he remembers the exact day he was hired because it was the day the stock market crashed - November 1987.
Moon said that he has had a lot of fond memories of working at NDNU but the best were "when I realized someone used the Career Center and got a great job!"
Among the things he contributed to the school were the annual job fairs where students could meet and give their resumes to a number of different corporations. He was also in charge of helping students find professional internships.
During his retirement, Moon will be writing a book and articles.
