You might have heard your friends at other colleges say, "Do you have Facebook?"
And for the longest time here at NDNU, students responded, "What is Facebook?"
Facebook, for all students still out of the-know, is an online network that connects people through social networks at schools.
Why did NDNU students not know about this when the majority of our friends at state and other universities had this networking tool at their fingertips?
Simply put, Facebook didn't know that NDNU existed.
In order for Notre Dame to even be recognized by the site, a petition had to be filled out and all of the school's information had to be manually added to Facebook's directory.
Once the school's population, majors, dorms and clubs were added, Notre Dame could finally have its Facebook premier.
Facebook offers college students a way of networking both inside and outside of their respective colleges.
For NDNU, students can find classmates, people in the same residence halls or even from the same clubs. As for the rest of the college population, students can use the global search button and find friends at other colleges anywhere in the U.S.
That is, of course, if they "Facebook."
To get started, visit the website at Facebook.com and login with your NDNU email. NDNU has been waiting long enough for Facebook recognition.
