A grand theft report was filed by the Belmont Police Department after hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise was stolen on the Notre Dame de Namur campus the night of Sept. 11.

About 8 p.m., after a call from three NDNU students, Belmont police were here within 20 minutes and responded to a report that property had been stolen from two campus apartments.

The room, belonging to three lacrosse players, was missing $100 in cash, a digital camera estimated to cost $400, a bottle of cologne estimated to cost $75, a watch estimated at around $200, and 25 prescription Adderall pills.

A room belonging to three women was also missing an I-Pod, $30 cash and a driver's license.

According to police, the theft of anything over $400 is considered a felony, as well as stealing any type of prescription drugs.

The police said they are actively investigating the situation and hope to have some leads soon.
