NDNU proved that comedy and misery go hand in hand as it presented the Labor Day Theatre Festival at the NDNU Theatre, The play "The Ever After" and select scenes from "Misery" were staged Aug. 26 and 27. "The Ever After," (photos right and below) written by Gina Latimerlo and directed by Kay Kleinerman, is a play set in modern day America where in three fairytale princesses confront life after the fairy tale ends and must face the consequences of their decisions. "Misery," written by Stephen King, adapted by Simon Moore and directed by Karen Byrnes, is about a romance novelist who awoke after crashing his car in a blizzard in the care of his number one fan. She then begins to torture him.
