Justice for Sr. Dorothy

If the Sisters of Notre Dame have a face, it is that of Sr. Dorothy Stang, who was killed five years ago standing up for what she believed in. A lifelong advocate for the poor, a lover of nature, and a true representation of all that SND stands for, Stang is considered a hero at NDNU, and the world over.… Post the First Comment

"It's awesome!" are the first words out of Kyle Pretsch's mouth when asked about the newest feat in Housing and Residence life: online housing selection. On May 8, do away with hollow sentiment

For many of the graduating class of 2010, this is the end of a long, arduous academic path. For most, this is a pinnacle of achievement, the greatest ac- complishment of our lives. So, congratulations. But do we need all the pomp and ceremony that goes along with it? It's an important aspect, sure; ritual is a vital part of the human experience.… Post the First Comment

Angst over advising: two student opinions

Your advisor sucks? Then suck it up / Missing that extra touch

It's not that I'd like to think that we are all adults here. Quite frankly, being a kid is still incredibly fun. However, I do concede to the fact that exhibiting a minimum of 2.367 adult-like symptoms per day is rather crucial to the college experience. This is especially valid when referring to students' opinions about their advisor and their satisfaction thereof.… Post the First Comment

Argonaut Athletics: A Year in Review

The NDNU Argonauts experienced some changes this season, with a handful of new coaches and budget limitations. The world of sports is not a per- fect one so each team worked hard to adapt and overcome the adversity they faced. Various fundraisers including the sale of Argo gear and "Jamba Fund- raising", where a portion of the sales from one store go toward a specific group (in this case, a sports team), helped teams to acclimate to last year's reduc- tion of the athletic budget.… Post the First Comment
